Kurt Krömer , real name Alexander Bojcan (pronounced: Boizan) (born November 20, 1974 in West Berlin ), is a German comedian and actor .

Live and act

Alexander Bojcan was born in the West Berlin district of Neukölln . He grew up in the Wedding district and dropped out of comprehensive school after the 10th grade . He began training as a men's outfitter, which he broke off at the age of seventeen and a half. Bojcan also broke off an apprenticeship as a retail salesman and then worked for two years as a temporary worker at a Berlin cleaning company; He also worked as an unskilled worker on the construction site, where he made his first appearances at Scheinbar in Berlin-Schöneberg from 1993 under the pseudonym Kurt Krömer . He took his stage name from a German teacher whom he liked very much. From October 1996 to December 1997 he attended the "TuT - School for Dance, Clown and Theater" in Hanover . He cites Louis de Funès , Klaus Kinski , Andy Kaufman and Leo Bassi as inspiration for his role .

From 2003 he moderated the television program Die Kurt Krömer Show on rbb television , the 15th and last episode of which was recorded at the end of April 2005. The program consisted of solo elements, clips and interviews with celebrities such as Gunter Gabriel , Johann König , Hellmuth Karasek and Gregor Gysi . As a Krömer, he always wore outdated suits with suspenders and glasses in a retro design. The garage band minibeatclub provided the background music , directed by Matthias Kitter.

In November 2005 his show started at Bei Krömers . This broadcast was a talk show with prominent guests, with the Krömer family in addition to Kurt Krömer - represented by actors: Grandpa Gerd ( Achim Wolff ), Mama Ingrid ( Marie Gruber ) and sister Anja ( Anne Helm , later Maxine Schulze ) - Sitting a little apart, influenced the interviews. Matthias Kitter again directed. Another six episodes of the program were broadcast from September 4, 2006 on. Bojcan was awarded the 2006 German Television Prize in the “Comedy” category.

On August 27, 2007, the program Krömer - The international show began in the night program of ARD . After five nominations, he was awarded the Adolf Grimme Prize for Krömer - Die Internationale Show in 2011 . At the same time, Bojcan ended this TV show and justified this step in relation to the Kölner Stadtanzeiger by saying that he was looking forward to doing something new.

On August 21, 2010, a Saturday evening show entitled May I ask ...! broadcast with him as a presenter.

In October 2010 he hosted the German Television Prize in Cologne with Sandra Maischberger .

On August 18, 2012, the first of eight episodes of his new show Krömer - Late Night Show , recorded in the Berliner Ensemble , ran on ARD . In July 2013 (broadcast on August 10, 2013) Matthias Matussek was a guest while recording a new episode. Matussek was attacked by Krömer "to put it cautiously, hard"; by applying for an injunction at the Hamburg regional court , he tried to prevent the broadcast. He justified his application with the "violation of his personal rights", which the Hamburg district court rejected and the program was broadcast as planned.

On December 12, 2014, Bojcan announced that it would completely say goodbye to the television business from 2015. The reason he gave was that he wanted to shift his artistic focus to the theater stage.

In May 2018, Krömer acted as a program announcer on rbb television for five days. The occasion was the television broadcaster's 15th birthday. Four episodes of his talk show Chez Krömer were broadcast as the first season in September 2019. From February 2020, another six episodes of the second season followed.

Since September 27, 2019, Seriös - Das Serienquartett has been broadcasting a monthly talk show on series on the broadcaster One, with Krömer acting as the moderator. Guests are Ralf Husmann and Annette Hess, with Annie Hoffmann as co-moderator.

On the occasion of the COVID-19 pandemic , Krömer is with Annie Hoffmann and the talk format Und nu? seen on rbb television. Both are out and about in Berlin and talk to members of systemically relevant professions about current topics and their everyday lives in times of the coronavirus.

Since October 31, 2007, Bojcan can be seen as the sleazy producer Gordon Miller in the Broadway comedy Room Service at the Berlin Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz , directed by Thomas Ostermeier .

Since June 22nd, 2010 Bojcan can be seen in the play Johnny Chicago at the Volksbühne Berlin .

Krömer can be seen in the music video for From the same star by the duo Ich + Ich .
