action

The plot follows the template, the novel The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain , but sometimes deviates significantly from it.

Huck Finn is staying with the widow Douglas and Miss Watson after finding treasure with his friend Tom Sawyer and is now a wealthy boy. He is served by the obedient house slave Jim, goes to school and regularly goes to church. When Jim happens to see his wife at a slave market, he rebels. He is supposed to be sold to a circus because he has great powers.

One day Huck's greedy and violent father, who is drunk most of the time, shows up again and wants Huck's money. Together with the fugitive slave Jim, who wants to get to the state of Ohio via Cairo , where slavery is prohibited, Huck flees on the Mississippi with a self-made raft . They are pursued by Huck's father and three unscrupulous slave hunters, whom they can only escape with difficulty and after many adventures. In the end, Huck Finn meets Mark Twain on the mail boat to Ohio.
