Milan Peschel
Milan Peschel (born January 17, 1968 in East Berlin ) is a German actor and director .
Life
Milan Peschel trained as a theater carpenter at the German State Opera Berlin from 1984 to 1986 and worked as a stage technician at the Volksbühne Berlin until 1991 . Peschel attended the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts . From 1997 to 2008 he was a member of the ensemble at the Volksbühne Berlin, where he was seen in many productions by the directors Frank Castorf and Dimiter Gotscheff ; From 2001 to 2003 he was a guest at the Thalia Theater Hamburg . Since 2007 Peschel has directed at the Maxim-Gorki-Theater Berlin and at the Theater an der Parkaue . Milan Peschel has been involved as a speaker in many radio play productions, especially under the direction of Paul Plamper .
Peschel was awarded the Bavarian Film Prize in 2011 and the German Film Prize in 2012 for his leading role as a father with cancer in the drama Halt auf Freie Strasse, directed by Andreas Dresen .
Peschel lives in Berlin and is the father of two children, a son (* 1999) and a daughter (* 2001).
