Julian Heun

Julian Heun (* 1989 in Berlin ) is a German author , poetry slammer and moderator from Berlin.

Life

After graduating from the Gabriele-von-Bülow-Gymnasium and doing an internship at the Bildzeitung , Heun studied general and comparative literature at the Free University of Berlin .

At the age of 18, Heun won the German-language poetry slam championship in the Admiralspalast Berlin in the U20 category in 2007 and the runner-up in the adult category in Zurich the following year. Afterwards he was a guest of the Goethe Institute at poetry festivals in Europe, Africa, North and South America. From 2018 he toured Germany with his solo program "Authentisch ist das neue Scheiße".

Heun dedicated himself to spoken word team performances in the constellations Allen Earnstyzz, the Fahrradgang , Bottermelk Fresch and most recently Heun & Söhne (since 2018 with David Friedrich ) for over 10 years . With Bottermelk Fresch and Heun & Sons he was able to win the German-language Poetry Slam championship in 2013 and 2019.

Heun wrote as a freelance journalist for Jetzt.de , Bildzeitung and Spiegel Online . Then created the security officer Mr. Mangold for Radio Fritz and texted gags for the television program Neo Magazin Royale and for an advertising agency.

In 2013 his first novel Strawberry Fields Berlin was published by Rowohlt Berlin .

Together with Nils Straatmann , Julian Heun moderates the radio show Poetry Blue Moon on Radio Fritz (previously with Till Reiners ). As part of the Edellauchs collective, Heun designs and moderates series of events in the Berlin Techno Club Ritter Butzke , the Volksbühne , the Wühlmäusen and the Jungfernheide lido.

In 2019, the Edellauchs organized the German-language championships in the poetry slam in Berlin with a finale in the Tempodrom , which Heun moderated together with Wolf Hogekamp . He was a project manager and curator at the Poetry Festival Berlin several times .

In addition to his work as an author, he forms the DJ duo Bunga & Bunga together with the DJ Ernesto Linares.
