David Friedrich (poetry slammer)

David Friedrich (* 1991 in Munich ) is a German moderator , slam poet and author .

Life

Friedrich grew up in Munich and graduated from Gisela-Gymnasium in Munich-Schwabing in 2010 .

When he was 15 he stood on a poetry slam stage for the first time . Since then he has participated in over 1200 poetry slams. In 2013 and 2015 he was in the finals of the German-language Poetry Slam championship . Friedrich also works with other artists such as Kaleb Erdmann and Thomas Spitzer. Together with Björn Dunne he founded the spoken word team “Neurosenstolz”. From 2015 he appeared together with Julian Heun , Bleu Broode ( Nils Straatmann ) & Malte Roßkopf as "The Bicycle Gang". In 2017 Friedrich and Heun competed as a duo at the championships under the name "Heun & Söhne" and were able to achieve the title of German-speaking team master in the poetry slam.

In 2013, together with the slam poets Kaleb Erdmann and Thomas Spitzer, in cooperation with the Jazz Orchestra of the University of Regensburg, he developed the spoken word and jazz live performance Bunt & Kühl , which they published both as a printed work and on CD . In 2015 the premiere of his solo show On a Date with David Friedrich took place in the Hamburg club Nochtspeicher . Friedrich is a permanent presenter of the Hamburg Bunker Slam and the Poetry Slam in the zeise cinemas , often works in the artistic field for the stage literature service provider " Kampf der Künste " and has been a permanent member of the reading stage " Randale und Liebe " since 2012 .

In addition, Friedrich is involved in the association “Zweikampfrechte e. V. ”and studies the cultures and languages ​​of the Middle East with a focus on Iranian and Islamic Studies at Hamburg University .

Since April 2017, David Friedrich has also been a permanent presenter in the children's channel for the Kummerkasten format , which he moderates together with Clarissa da Silva and also oversees as an editor.
