Marek Fis (born February 15, 1984 in Słupsk , Poland ; bourgeois Wojciech Oleszczak ) is a Polish comedian who works in German-speaking countries .

life and career

Marek Fis came to Germany at the age of five with his widowed mother and a brother. He grew up in Kleve and Berlin, and in 2003 he graduated from the Sophie-Charlotte-Gymnasium in Berlin .

Fis began on stage in 2006 when he took second place in the Quatsch Comedy Club talent competition . This was followed by TV appearances on rbb television and on TV total , Nightwash , the Oliver Pocher Show , Cindy & Die Junge Wilden (RTL), WDR Fun (k) haus , Müller and Friends on SWR , and on the RTL II comedy show Fun Club - Comedystars live . In the fourteenth season of the Quatsch Comedy Club on ProSieben , he was guest of Thomas Hermanns alongside Ingo Oschmann and Matze Knop .

In Poland, the Wiadomości news program on Telewizja Polska reported on his work. Invitations to shows at TVP Info and Dzień Dobry TVN followed .

He can be seen regularly in the Quatsch Comedy Club Mix and on Nightwash. In 2008 he went on tour with the comedians of Nightwash under the direction of Klaus-Jürgen Deuser . In September 2009 he took part in the cabaret and comedy event The Great Cabaret Festival of the Wühlmäuse . In October 2010 he conducted an interview with Gregor Gysi in the Berliner Kurier .

In the second season of the RTL2 Fun Club he is a permanent member of the ensemble, where he appears in the Who is the Better German ? can be seen together with the comedian Abdelkarim . In his own feature films, he parodies well-known German TV formats such as Die Super Nanny , Bauer sucht Frau , Germany's Next Top Model , Out of Debt or Germany Is Looking for the Superstar .

In January 2011 he was a guest at the international cabaret and comedy show Baustelle Deutschland , hosted by Jürgen Becker on WDR . In January 2014 he was heard as a feature in the song Ostblockerkämpferherz by the Polish rapper Toony .

In August 2014 he took part in the SAT1 entertainment show It's getting weird. In September 2014 he was seen on the WDR television program Nightwash. In December 2014, a recording of his program “European Construction Site - A Pole packs in / out” was shown in the Tele 5 television series On Stage .

He has been co-trainer and assistant to Hans Sarpei since the third season of the program Das T broadcast on Sport1 .

In March 2016 he was a guest with a comedy battle on the program Studio Amani .

Typical trademarks are his Polish accent , gray sweatpants and a red T-shirt with the imprint Polska and the coat of arms of the Republic of Poland with a gold-crowned white eagle .

In the meantime, the gold-crowned white eagle has been replaced by the lettering "Eastern Bloc latino".

In September 2016, Fis announced that he was severely depressed and alcoholic . For this reason, he broke off his tour under arrest and was admitted to a clinic. On December 14, 2016, he was interviewed by Steffen Hallaschka for stern TV . There he confirms the move from the clinic, calls for more public attention to be paid to the subject of addictions and more attention to be drawn to it.

He lives in Berlin and Krakow .

The show First Comedy Aid , which he founded and moderated, took place monthly in Berlin from December 2008 to April 2010 . There comedians from all over Germany performed for a good cause. Part of the income was always donated to a charitable institution. On November 14, 2010 he appeared in the benefit gala Pimp my Ghetto , moderated by Kurt Krömer , for the benefit of the Körnerkiez in Berlin-Neukölln . He was involved in the Parada Równości (Equality Parade), which calls for tolerance and equality towards gays and lesbians .
