Sonya Kraus (born June 22, 1973 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German television presenter , author , actress and a former model . Kraus became known in 1998 for her work at the wheel of fortune . She has also been designing bikini fashion for a fashion house for years . In her private life, Kraus is an animal rights activist , for example for the Duo Ibiza organization .

Life

Childhood and private life

At the age of six, Sonya Kraus lost her nine-month-old brother to sudden infant death . When she was eleven, her father committed suicide.

For ten years, from 1977 to 1987, Sonya Kraus danced ballet , among others to Dr. Hoch's Conservatory and in the ballet department of the Frankfurt University of Music . Since she was too tall at 1.77 m, she had to give up ballet at the age of 14. Kraus completed her school education in 1992 with the Abitur at the Frankfurt drawing school and then worked as a professional model with international assignments until 1994.

She has been in a relationship with her partner since 1997, with whom she has two sons (* 2010 and * 2012).

Television career

In 1998 Kraus became Frederic Meisner's assistant at the wheel of fortune on kabel eins , where she replaced Maren Gilzer . Sonya Kraus ended her contract with ProSieben in 2013. In February 2014 she took over the moderation of the Yahoo web show Life & Harmony . In the same year she appeared in Rosa von Praunheim's film Praunheim Memoires about the Praunheim district of Frankfurt , from which she comes.
