Susann Atwell (born November 13, 1967 in Hamburg ) is a German television presenter .

Life

Atwell studied archeology and German studies in Hamburg before entering the television business in 1992.

For four years she hosted the programs Airplay, Showbiz and Acht for the Premiere broadcaster and also ran the programs on the pay-TV broadcaster. In 1997 she moved to ProSieben , where she moderated various tabloid programs until 2005 , such as B. Cinema TV, SAM , Max TV, CinemaxX TV and Style SOS .

In 2000 and 2001 Atwell moderated the German Film Prize and from 1999 to 2002 the Oscar awards for ProSieben live from Los Angeles . In 2003 she was shown with a series of pictures in the June issue of the German Playboy magazine. In 2005 Atwell reported again for ProSieben from the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards. Her Pilates DVD was released that same year .

Since 2009 she has moderated the magazine program Maintower for HR and since 2011 for NDR Rund um den Michel .

She moderates live events, trade fairs and gala events, including the German Film Prize in 2000 and 2001 and the Hessian Film and Cinema Prize in 2011 .

Private

In 2012 Atwell stated publicly that it had to file for personal bankruptcy in 2010 due to two bad investments in the real estate sector of around one million euros . Susann Atwell volunteers to support the association Dunkelziffer e. V.

Atwell is divorced and has two daughters.
