Hessian film and cinema award

The Hessian film and cinema prizes will be awarded, with the exception of the Hessen Cinema Prize, which is awarded since 1989, since 1990 annually by the State of Hesse as prizes and awards for filmmakers and cinema operators. The award is made by the Hessian Ministry for Science and Art in cooperation with the Hessian Film Fund. The prizes are currently endowed with a total of 185,000 euros. There are the following price categories:

The director of the hessian broadcast annually awards the undoped since 2003 Hessian TV Award for outstanding acting performance in the categories for Best Actor and Best Actress .

The award ceremony has been held in cooperation with the Frankfurt International Book Fair and in media partnership with Hessischer Rundfunk since 2003 .

Since 2003, the Hessian Prime Minister has been awarding an undoped honorary award for special achievements in the film and television sector. Previous winners are:

The Frankfurt Book Fair has been awarding the International Literary Film Prize for the best international literary film since 2004 in order to illustrate the close connection between the book and film industries.
