Katie Freudenschuss (* 1976 in Gießen ) is a German cabaret artist , musician , composer and songwriter .

Life

Katie (bourgeois: Katja) Freudenschuss has lived and worked in Hamburg since 1999. There she completed the contact course for popular music at the Hamburg University. In 2008 she received a grant from the Celler Förderseminar for lyricists in light music. Since then she has been writing lyrics for herself and others.

She also sang promotional songs.

Until the end of 2013 she was on the stages for three years with Andrea Bongers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland with the music comedy program “Schuh Mädchen Report”. In summer 2013 she improvised weekly on the keys in the TV comedy format “Crazy “(With Max Giermann , Bernhard Hoecker , Mirja Boes , Carolin Kebekus ) on ZDF and was on the“ No one can catch us ”tour as a singing keyboardist with Lena Meyer-Landrut . She also improvises regularly on the theater stage with the improvisation theaters “hidden shakespeare” and “placebo theater”.

With her first solo program “Bis Hollywood is too far” she has been on stage all over Germany since 2014, she plays the piano, says things (her own name Sachensagerin ), improvises with viewers and situations and sings her own songs.

Katie Freudenschuss' program consists of stand-up comedy numbers and pieces of music in which she accompanies herself on the piano . Music and lyrics come from my own pen. The lyrics are mostly German. The stand-up comedy numbers are stories that are very often presented with full physical effort.
