reception

Thomas Herrmanns mentioned Helene Bockhorst on Das! (NDR) as a new comedy discovery. "There are moments, such breakthrough numbers, where you know - that is going to be a star. That was clear from the start with Michael Mittermeier , or, for example, with Cindy from Marzahn . (...) There are always moments when you think : He really has it. And I've seen thousands of stand ups in my life, so you can hardly surprise me with anything. But when someone brings something new, brings a new station wagon (...) like Helene Bockhorst, does is really, really, really great right now. She's standing there, very still, almost shy, and she has such good lyrics, and then I am happy in the back like such a happy mother and think: My children, they can do it. "

A detailed portrait of Bockhorst was published in Zeit Campus 6/2018. The article highlighted her rapid career: "Bockhorst has not even been in the business for a year - and is actually already a full professional. (...) While other young comedians beg for appearances or spend years between unpaid open-mic sessions, is Helene Bockhorst asked. "

Her open handling of taboo topics was also mentioned: "Helene Bockhorst talks about things that most of us would not talk about. (...) Although this is gloomy and depressing, people have fun. I believe that it is still a taboo break . " - Oskar Piegsa, Zeit Campus

Detector.fm believed that there was a trend towards "tragic comedy" and called Bockhorst the "new star of failure". 3sat.de called her the "brand new shooting star in stage entertainment".

The Hamburger Abendblatt pointed out the contrast between the external impact and the content of her program: “She seems so shy, but she has it all in her texts. With the cheeky Helene you can be happy about which pearls are still to be found. "
