NGC 7784 is a compact galaxy of Hubble type C in the constellation Pegasus at the northern sky . It is estimated to be 358 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 50,000 ly.
The galaxy NGC 7786 is located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered on October 1, 1883 by the French astronomer Édouard Stephan .
