NGC 7787 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 303 million light years from the Milky Way and about 160,000 light years in diameter. Presumably it forms a gravitationally bound galaxy pair together with PGC 72912 .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 7783 and IC 1517 .
The object was discovered by Albert Marth on October 23, 1864 .
