NGC 7812 is a spiral galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type Sb in the constellation Sculptor in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 304 million light years from the Milky Way and about 100,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by John Herschel on September 25, 1834 .
