NGC 7816 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 240 million light years from the Milky Way and about 120,000 light years in diameter .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 7818 and NGC 7824 .
The object was discovered by William Herschel on September 26, 1788 .
