NGC 7836 is an irregular galaxy of Hubble type Irr? in the constellation Andromeda in the northern sky . It is an estimated 227 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 60,000 ly. 
The galaxy is a member of the NGC 7831 group, along with z. B. NGC 7805 , NGC 7806, and NGC 7819 . 
In the same area of the sky there are still u. a. the galaxies NGC 6 , NGC 13 , NGC 20 , IC 1530 .
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on September 20, 1885 .
