NGC 10 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBbc with extensive star formation areas in the constellation Sculptor in the southern sky . It is about 304 million light years from us and about 215,000 light years across.

In 2011, a supernova was observed in this galaxy , cataloged as SN 2011jo .

The object was discovered on September 25, 1834 by the British astronomer John Herschel .
