NGC 7827 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 242 million light years from the Milky Way and about 85,000 light years in diameter .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 7820 and NGC 7825 .
The object was discovered by John Herschel on September 25, 1830 .
