NGC 7794 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Pegasus at the northern sky . It is an estimated 242 million light years from the Milky Way and about 90,000 light years in diameter.

The type II supernova SN 1995ai was observed here.

The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on November 23, 1785 .
