The Ji (born October 11, 1994 in Vienna as Edgar Ferenc Pall; also known as this Ferenc Jetzt, thereal20G and 2Pacca; real name) is an Austrian rapper and model with Hungarian roots.

biography

The Ji has Hungarian roots and grew up in Washington DC as the son of a diplomat. After graduating from high school / high school at the German International School Washington DC , where he was together with actresses like Valerie Huber , he completed his time with the armed forces in Austria.

He then moved to Amsterdam to study international business and management alongside music.

At this time there was contact and close cooperation between The Ji and Money Boy , with whose Glo Up Dinero Gang ( MC Smook , Hustensaft Jüngling , LGoony , Spinning 9 , ...) he played several tours through Germany, Austria and Switzerland ( Kola With Ice Tour, The Hard Tour, Castival etc.).

In addition to the appearances together with GUDG, The Ji is known from collaborations with artists such as Frauenarzt , Sierra Kidd , Ali As and his appearances at Falk Schacht's “Various Things German Rap Party”, at Germany's largest HipHop Festival ( splash! ) And the VICE House Party Festivals in Berlin and Vienna.

His music makes use of different genres, whereby he is considered one of the first German-speaking advocates of the “trap”.

Ferenc as a public person

  • Collaboration with Almdudler and AIDS-Hilfe Wien

Together with bloggers Christl Clear and Jules Vogel as well as singers Cesar Sampson and rapper The Ji, Almdudler and AIDS-Hilfe Wien published an awareness campaign on the subject of sexual health, which received almost half a million views in the first few weeks. Almdudler's owner Thomas Klein was also there. In the 5-minute spot, The Ji presents himself openly without pants in boxer shorts on the subject of sex and carries out an HIV test in front of the camera.

The Ji was able to gain a certain degree of awareness through the interview with opera singer Claudia Goebl for the McDonalds commercial, in which the two artists openly talk about the differences between their professional world. Among other things, it is about political correctness in German rap and autotune .

  • Collaboration with Spark 7 and Caesarean Films

As “2Pacca”, Ferenc published the single and the video “Twice the Nice” for the Spark 7 youth account of Erste Bank und Sparkasse in cooperation with Caesarean Films and Reed + Rader .
