Money Boy (born June 27, 1981 in Vienna ; also known as Mbeezy for short ; now Why SL Know Plug , YSL Know Plug , Why SL Beezy, pineapple the fruit dude ; bourgeois Sebastian Meisinger ) is an Austrian rapper . He was best known for the song Dreh den Swag auf .
biography
Money Boy grew up in the 15th district of Vienna Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus as the son of a teacher and an entrepreneur. Until 2008 he studied journalism and communication science at the University of Vienna . He completed a semester at the University of Illinois . He successfully completed his studies with the academic degree Magister philosophiae (Mag. Phil.) . He wrote his master's thesis on gangsta rap in Germany . He also played basketball for a long time before taking up rap as a hobby. At first he wrote his texts in English .
After his first publicly available track Ching, Chang, Chung , Money Boy received a lot of controversial attention in late summer 2010 with Turn the Swag On , a cover version of Turn My Swag On by Soulja Boy . The title was viewed on YouTube more than 22 million times (as of February 2016), but the majority rated it negatively. It was followed by appearances in the MTV telecast MTV Home .
In December 2010, the record company Sony Music Entertainment signed Money Boy. Shortly thereafter, his first single X-Mas Time was released , before his best-known title Dreh den Swag auf followed on February 1, 2011 , which for licensing reasons can only be acquired in a club remix version. Both singles are only available in digital version.
Money Boy has been touring Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands since signing the contract to perform in various clubs and discos. He was also interviewed by several radio stations. He released his second mixtape called Money, Girls and Fame in early August 2011. He was also featured in a Rauch Fruchtsju commercial . In December 2011 he was at Austria Votes the Super-Celebrity as the newest among many celebrities who have been known for years and reached number 25. At the same time, Money Boy released his third mixtape The Lost Tape .
After his contract with Sony expired , the rapper released his first album, SWAG, on his own label, "Swag City Clique". It is available for download from the iTunes Store and Amazon . On May 11, 2013 Money Boy was a guest on the TV show Wir sind Kaiser . His second album HiTunes was released in November 2014.
On December 15, 2014, as part of the program Circus HalliGalli, he received the Golden Umberto for amazing views for an interview he gave with Alexandra Maurer as part of the program Living Room on Joiz Germany . There he said he could recommend MDMA and heroin to anyone at parties. He also stated that his homies are welcome to sleep with his girlfriend. Money Boy personally accepted the award.
In 2015 he released seven mixtapes by February 7th alone. In addition, from February 10 of the same year onwards, various music websites published a closer look at his master’s thesis under the title #MoneyBoyLeaks and spoke to the artist himself and the professor who had supervised the work. The interview with the professor, who made it clear that he “thinks Moneyboy as anything but stupid”, received a lot of attention.
After the rapper used the plane crash of the Germanwings flight 9525 as an occasion for jokes on Twitter in March 2015 , he was criticized several times.
In 2015 he released his third album called Cash Flow .
In March 2016, Money Boy was charged with negligent bodily harm because he threw objects (including a microphone and a glass bottle) at the audience during a performance at the WUK in Vienna and, among other things, injured a young woman with splinters. As a result, he was unloaded from the Nova Rock Music Festival, removed all of his songs from the video platform YouTube and renamed himself Why SL Beezy. After the terrorist attacks on March 22, 2016 in Brussels , he published a track called Terror , which, according to the online magazine VICE, shows "interest in world events and empathy".
The album All in a Night had previously been released on March 16 , the first official record release after the name change. According to the company, the entire album was completed within one night; it includes a guest contribution by Sierra Kidd . Another album followed on November 24, 2016, Alles ist Designer .
He returned to his old stage name Money Boy with the release of the music video Cash Me Outside on May 2, 2017 . In the video, he also announced his sixth album. Finally, on October 16, 2018, his seventh studio album, Mann unter Feuer, was released.
Glo Up Dinero aisle
Money Boy founded the Glo Up Dinero Gang , in which various artists are gathered who maintain a similar style and, in addition to their own publications, also perform with him in pieces of music. These include Spinning 9 , Hustensaft Jüngling , The Ji , Keewee , LGoony and Medicines Manfred . The greatest success was achieved in 2015, when members Money Boy, Medicines Manfred and Hustensaft Jüngling were featured as a feature on the Collabo album " Classic " by Bushido and Shindy and received a gold record for it. This success is celebrated on the music video "Goldrapper".

Money Boy has already stated several times that it has Asperger's Syndrome . In autumn 2016 she stayed in the clinic for several weeks.
