Laskah (* 1990 ; real name Eike Schomakers ) is a rapper from Nordhorn , who became known from the JuliensBlogBattle (JBB) and has been under contract with the Distri label for a long time.

Career

Laskah first took part in the JBB 2014, where he made it to the finals. In 2016 he took part in the JMC rap tournament , where he made it to the group D round of 16, and released his first album TRIP , which entered the album charts at number 75. Laskah and his crew produced the album TRIP themselves and distributed it through the distri label . TRIP stands for "a thousand directions to paradise."

In the course of 2017, Laskah was repeatedly accused of not writing his texts independently. The rapper Timatic in particular addressed this with his JBB 2017/18 qualification in the form of a diss. Shortly thereafter, the situation between the former friends escalated, whereupon Laskah also announced a dissent against Timatic. This disstrack never appeared because Laskah didn't "want to hide". With a final statement on Instagram that he was suffering from burn-out, the beef between the two rappers ended without any further scandals.

On December 20, 2019, Laskah announced that in 2020, 5 years after his debut album, the next record entitled "Gift" would be released.

style

Laut.de describes Laskah's style as follows:

““ With skillful double time, lots of Anglicisms, fat beats between trap and melody and the usual homosexual and handicapped people, he is gradually consolidating his reputation. […] His lines tell the well-known story of the newcomer, in which nobody used to really believe. Laskah courted marijuana, coconut-based fruit liqueurs and pumped up new school beats. ""

He has been accused of having a style similar to that of the rapper Spongebozz . Laskah's fluency is praised in a review, and his differentiated texts are highlighted.
