NGC 7766 is a compact galaxy of Hubble type C in the constellation Pegasus at the northern sky . It is an estimated 372 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 55,000 light years in diameter. Together with NGC 7765 , NGC 7767 and NGC 7768 , it forms the galaxy group Holm 818 .
The object was discovered by Ralph Copeland on October 9, 1872 .
