NGC 7762 is a type II2p open star cluster in the constellation Cepheus in the northern sky . It has a limiting radius of about 15 'and an apparent magnitude of 10.0 mag. It is a relatively young cluster with many blue hot stars .
The object was discovered by William Herschel on November 23, 1788 .
