NGC 7738 is a bar-spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type SBb in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 307 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 180,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky is the galaxy NGC 7739 .
The property was discovered by Gaspare Stanislao Ferrari in 1865 .
