NGC 7722 is a lenticular galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Pegasus in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 187 million light years from the Milky Way and about 90,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 7703 and NGC 7711 .
The object was discovered on August 12, 1864 by Heinrich Louis d'Arrest .
