NGC 7720 is a CD galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type E2 in the constellation Pegasus in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 413 million light years from the Milky Way and approximately 195,000 light years in diameter. Together with PGC 85570 ( NGC 7720B ), it forms an interacting pair of galaxies.
In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 7726 , NGC 7728 , IC 5341 , IC 5342 .

The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on September 10, 1784 .
