NGC 7733 is a bar-spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type SBb in the constellation Toucan in the southern sky . It is estimated 449 million light years from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 175,000 ly. Together with NGC 7734 , it forms an interacting pair of galaxies.
The object was discovered by John Herschel on November 2, 1834 .
