NGC 7749 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble-type S0 constellation Sculptor in the southern sky . It is an estimated 464 million light years from the Milky Way and about 220,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by John Herschel on September 27, 1834 .
