NGC 7743 is a lenticular galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type SB0 / a in the constellation Pegasus in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 83 million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 ly in diameter. The galaxy has an angular extent of 2 ′, 8 × 2 ′, 4 and an apparent magnitude of 11.4 mag.
The galaxy NGC 7742 is located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by William Herschel on October 18, 1784 .
