NGC 7729 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBa in the constellation Pegasus in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 243 million light years from the Milky Way and about 125,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Édouard Stephan on October 5, 1883 .
