NGC 7716 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBb in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 121 million light years from the Milky Way and about 75,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered on September 6, 1831 by the astronomer John Herschel with his 18.7 inch reflector telescope and was later included in his New General Catalog by Johan Dreyer .
