NGC 7704 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 262 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 85,000 light-years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 7696 , NGC 7705 , NGC 7706 , IC 1500 .
The Supernova SN 1977G was observed here.
The object was discovered by John Herschel on October 13, 1827 .
