NGC 7687 is a lens-shaped galaxy of the Hubble-type S0 in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 213 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light years in diameter. 
The galaxies NGC 7679 , NGC 7682 , NGC 7685 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered on September 21, 1862 by Heinrich Louis d'Arrest .
