The deserted area of care was a former part of the municipality of Waxenberg in the Regensburg district office .

The place was in the Waxenberg district, five kilometers from Pondorf and two kilometers from Obermiethnach and has belonged to the municipality of Wiesenfelden since 1974 . On a map from 1940 there is a "Wachthaus am Pflegeerschlagen" whose position cannot be reconciled with the stated distances.

In the localities directory for the census of December 1, 1885, under the entry for the municipality of Waxenberg, it reads: "Pflegeerschlag, E. zkPf. Uz Post Pondorf 5.0 km, zk Schule Obermiethnach 2.0 km, 1 flat (uninhabited)". Identical entries can also be found for the census of 1900 and 1925. In 1946, the municipality of Waxenberg is incorporated into Höhenberg . From the list of places in 1950, the place is no longer listed.
