NGC 7728 is an elliptical galaxy from the Hubble-type E2 in Pegasus at the northern sky . It is an estimated 428 million light years from the Milky Way and about 125,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 7720 , NGC 7726 , IC 5341 , IC 5342 .
The object was discovered on February 16, 1862 by Heinrich Louis d'Arrest .
