Edward Hirsh

Edward "Ed" T. Hirsh (* 20th century ) is a special effects artist .

Life

Hirsh has been with Industrial Light & Magic since the early 1980s . He has worked as a special effects artist in some of the world's most successful film franchises , including Star Wars , Star Trek, and films from the Indiana Jones , Men-in-Black , and Terminator franchises. He made his debut in 1980 with The Empire Strikes Back , followed by Raiders of the Lost Ark and ET - The Extra-Terrestrial . Hirsh worked on eight films for director Steven Spielberg . He has also worked for Tobe Hooper , Joe Dante , Ron Howard and Ethan and Joel Coen , among others .

2002 he worked for Michael Bay's war film Pearl Harbor together with Eric Brevig , John Frazier and Ben Snow for the Oscar in the category Best Visual Effects nominated, but the award this year went to Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship . Even with BAFTA Film Awards Frazee went into the category Best Visual Effects nothing.
