Julius Fischer (* 1984 in Gera ) is a German slam poet , comedian , author and cabaret artists .

Life

Growing up in Dresden , Fischer studied history and German at the University of Leipzig .

He has been performing on poetry slam stages since 2004 . He won numerous slams in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and was a guest of the WDR Poetry Slam and the slam tour with Kuttner . He was in the finals of the German-language championships in the poetry slam several times (most recently in 2009). His slam duo Team Total Destruction (with André Herrmann ) won the title of runner-up in the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum in 2010 , followed by the championship title in the O2-World in Hamburg in 2011. After the performances, the successful podcast Team Totale Zerredung formed from the slam duo , which is one of the most successful comedy podcasts on Spotify . New episodes are always published in the night from Thursday to Friday on all platforms.

Fischer has been a member of the Dresden reading stage Sax Royal since 2006, and in 2008 he co-founded the Leipzig reading stage Schkeuditzer Kreuz . Since June 2011 he has also been a permanent member of the Berlin reading stage Lesedüne (with Marc-Uwe Kling, among others ).

Together with Christian Meyer he has performed as The Fuck Hornisschen Orchestra since 2009 . In 2010 the duo won the bronze Rostocker Koggenzieher , performances at NightWash and in the Quatsch Comedy Club followed. From 2010 to 2012 they were the house band of the NDR Comedy Contest . Since September 2014 they have their own TV show called Comedy with Karsten on Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR) .

His satire The most beautiful hiking trails of the hiking whore. Not a historical novel. triggered a legal dispute in which the successful appeal proceedings were financed through a crowdfunding campaign by the publishing house Voland & Quist . The publisher Droemer Knaur had first instance a ban by injunction achieved with the argument that readers might believe, a real volume in the series The Whore of Iny Lorentz in front of you.
