The fourth season of the Live - dance show Let's Dance ran between 23 March and 18 May 2011 with presenters Daniel Hartwich and Sylvie van der Vaart , who had previously occupied in the year as a candidate in second place.
The show
The broadcast date of the format was moved from Friday to Wednesday evening. In the first two weeks, the decision was broadcast about an hour after the show during a break in stern TV magazine , but from April 6th it was shown immediately after the dance performance.
In the sixth live broadcast, in addition to the individual dances, a so-called Discofox marathon was carried out, in which all five remaining couples competed simultaneously during a four-minute medley. The weakest couple was brought off the dance floor at regular intervals. As a result, the candidates and their dance partners could achieve between two and ten additional points, which were added to the previous performance.
Bernd Herzsprung paused in the third program after the death of his mother, while Kristina Bach left the competition entirely on the advice of her doctor after she had a herniated disc during rehearsals for the fifth show . Liliana Matthäus, who was eliminated in the fourth show, moved up for Bach.

Maite Kelly and Christian Polanc won the final with a quick step to the title Bei Mir Bistu Shein in the version of the Puppini Sisters (35 points), a Paso Doble to the aria Habanera from the opera Carmen (39 points) and the freestyle to a medley Moulin Rouge with excerpts from the songs Lady Marmalade ( Christina Aguilera , Lil 'Kim , Missy Elliott , Mýa & P! Nk ), El Tango De Roxanne ( José Feliciano , Ewan McGregor & Jacek Koman ) and Your Song (McGregor & Alessandro Safina ) ( 39 points).
