The 11th season of the Live - dance show Let's Dance was opened with the introductory show on March 9, 2018 and launched on 16 March in the competition, which marked the conclusion of the finals on June 8.
The show
Already on November 30, 2017, well in advance of the later season announcements, it became known that Sylvie Meis is leaving the show after seven years and will be replaced by Victoria Swarovski , winner of the ninth season of 2016. In addition, the elimination rounds now follow the introductory show, which was also the 100th edition of the format. Due to the gap of just one week, the candidates have the shortest training time so far before the first decision. A new feature also concerns the audience voting , which is now also possible via the winario competition portal .
Since the jury was unable to agree on a winning formation at the Boys vs. Girls Battle held on April 13th, and therefore was unable to give a joint assessment, the average of three individual grades was the first result for the groups. The women received eight points (8 + 10 + 5) and thus won for the first time, the men lost with seven points (8 + 6 + 7).
The team dances in the seventh show, which were presented on the one hand for French and on the other hand for Italian titles, consisted for the first time of six parts, namely the solo of each of the four couples involved and joint appearances at the beginning and end of the performance. The formations were allowed to lead the two best points from all jury evaluations so far. Julia Dietze opted for Ingolf Lück, Roman Lochmann and Iris Mareike Steen as comrades-in-arms from “Team France”, Thomas Hermanns, on the other hand, chose Judith Williams, Barbara Meier and Bela Klentze for the “Team Italy”, which ultimately won. The individual dances of both performances were each combined from a potpourri of ten different standard and Latin styles.
Moderator Daniel Hartwich was represented by Oliver Geissen on the March 16 broadcast due to illness . Even Barbara Meier was sidelined for a week after three days had died her grandmother before the fourth show. After she was eliminated in the following broadcast, she was still able to return to the floor on April 27, as Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht had to give up involuntarily due to a broken metatarsal bone. In addition, shortly before the joint performance with Bela Klentze on April 27 , Oana Nechiti suffered a muscle injury, so that her dance partner was supported by Marta Arndt that evening . The latter, in turn, tore a cruciate ligament during the eighth program when he twisted an ankle during the Quickstep. Klentze's performance had to be interrupted for the time being before he finally dropped out the following week on medical advice.

- 1 The final result consists of the rating for a couple dance and the team performance in the battle.
- 2 Barbara Meier did not start because of a bereavement in the family on April 13th and after she was later voted out, she replaced Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht, who left on April 23rd due to injury.
- 3 The final result is made up of the scores for a couple dance and for the team dance.
- 4 The final result consists of the evaluation for a couple dance and an additional 1–10 points for the Discofox marathon.
- 5 Iris Mareike Steen replaced Bela Klentze, who was eliminated on May 15th due to injury.

Ingolf Lück and Ekaterina Leonova won the final with a quick step to the song We Go Together by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John (29 points), a tango to Rockwell's Somebody’s Watching Me (30 points) and the freestyle to a medley from the film series Shrek with excerpts from the play Fairytale (Rolf Løvland) and the songs I'm a Believer ( Smash Mouth ), Hallelujah ( John Cale ) and Holding Out for a Hero ( Jennifer Saunders ) (30 points).
