DJ The Wave (born June 3, 1971 ; actually Andreas Witek ) is an Austrian musician and DJ who, together with Buddy , landed a summer hit in 2003 with Ab in the south .

Life

At the age of 16 he practiced as a DJ and was already producing his own mixes. At the time he was training to be a chemical laboratory technician. Seven years later he made his hobby his main occupation. Later he made a major contribution to the development of the Austrian disco scene.

In 2003 he made it with Cologne Buddy and Ab in the south to number one in the Austrian and number two in the German single charts . In the same year, DJ The Wave and Buddy released the song Ab in the north , in which the text of the original Ab in the south was modified accordingly.
