content
The plot of the song is shaped by the love of two people who should love each other unconditionally and forever. First of all, a definition of love is sought (" What is love but the strangest of feelings? "), Then the author works out negative aspects of love (" A sin you swallow for the rest of your life. "), Which is what the listener does reveals the bad sides of love. In the further course questions and demands are asked which express doubts about love and which deal critically with it (" How do you love with the fate full of rust? "). It is described that love becomes boring if you only live past each other and you should therefore go where the passion takes you (" We go where the wild blood flows. "). In the end, the author of the text presents an overall statement through contrasts, which conveys that there are by no means only positive aspects of love, but despite everything one cannot live without them.
Background music
Musically, the song is less based on typical Razorlight titles, but rather a reduced instrumentation enables a better concentration on the text and the topic the song deals with is clarified. An exhibit, i.e. a special emphasis on the piano and a chorus sung in several voices, are hardly reminiscent of the usual Razorlight style, but are much more similar to a gospel song .
