Andrew William Burrows (born June 30, 1979 in Winchester , England ) is a British musician . He became known with the band Razorlight .

Life and musical career

In 2004 Andy Burrows joined the band Razorlight as a replacement for the original drummer Christian Smith-Pancorvo, of which he was a member until spring 2009. During this time he released his first solo album The Color of My Dreams , on which he set poems by a friend to music. After leaving Razorlight, he recorded an album as I Am Arrows , which was released in 2010. Originally planned as a solo project, Burrows later expanded the lineup to include five band members, including his brother Ben. Since 2009 Burrows has also been a permanent member of the American band We Are Scientists , with whom he recorded the album Barbara (released 2010).

Together with Tom Smith , the singer of the band Editors , Burrows released the Christmas album Funny Looking Angels in late 2011 . On the album they play their own compositions as well as various cover versions (including Only You by Yazoo and Wonderful Life by Black ). The following year he released his second solo album Company , on which he played all instruments, as well as the soundtrack for the children's film The Snowman & the Snowdog .
