Wonderful Life is a song by the British musician Black from 1986, written by him and appeared on the album of the same name.

The song was originally recorded in 1985 and released on September 19, 1986, but had little success in the UK charts at the time. It only became successful through Black's takeover of A&M Records and a revision of the New Wave song. The re-release took place on August 22, 1987 and reached the top of the charts in Austria . Over the years, numerous cover versions of the song were made, which were also used in commercials for Standard Life and Emirates as well as in the episode Separate Paths from Queer as Folk .

Music video

The music video was shot in black and white at a seaside resort in New Brighton (near Wallasey ). You can see the singer himself as well as seemingly randomly selected people who remain motionless or move in slow motion, the director of the video was Gerard de Thame.
