Blood Angel is a German electronics - band from the vicinity of the black scene .

history

Blutengel was founded in Berlin in 1998 . The band emerged from the previous project Seelenkrank after the singer Chris Pohl was forced to give it up.

Kati Roloff and Nina Bendigkeit initially took on the female vocals. In 1999 Blutengel released the official debut album Child of Glass . Two years later the second album Seelenschmerz was released. In the meantime the line-up of the band had also changed, as Nina Bendigkeit left the group. She was replaced by Gini Martin.

At the end of 2001 the two singers left the band and founded the Tristesse de la Lune project together . Chris Pohl hired Eva Poelzing, who added Constance Rudert, who joined in mid-2001. The following album Angel Dust reached number 58 in the charts. In October 2005 Eva Pölzing also left Blutengel again. Her successor is Ulrike Goldmann, previously member of the band Say Y was. After 9 years, Constance Rudert and Blutengel separated on August 12, 2010. But the band quickly found new singing talents. Anja Milow was the new singer alongside Chris and Ulrike. Anja Milow's amicable exit was announced on November 5, 2012.

The two albums Monument and Save Us reached number 4 in the official German album charts in 2013 and 2015. The new single Complete was released in December 2016 and the next album, Leitbild, in spring 2017 . Parallel to the new Blutengel album, singer Chris Pohl published the autobiography Live your dream , which is included in the limited deluxe box from Leitbild as well as sold individually.

On July 30, 2016, the band held their first own open-air event at the Chemnitz Wasserschloss Klaffenbach, which was sold out with around 3000 people.

Blutengel are among the most successful and influential German acts from the black scene.
