Sick soul

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Seelenkrank was a German music project by Chris Pohl . It was created in 1996 after he had some success with his Terminal Choice project .

history

The project was an attempt to create a more intimate sound than Terminal Choice. Cool electronic music was lyrically combined with SM and fetish fantasies. In addition, women's voices were integrated. In 1996 and 1997 two albums were created under the Maschinenwelt label. The project was abandoned due to contractual problems with the label. The music project Blutengel , founded in 1998 , which is often referred to as a follow-up project, shows clear differences to Seelenkrank . In particular, the textual reference to the SM scene was (largely) dropped. The long-standing legal dispute over the Seelenkrank project was decided in 2005 in favor of Chris Pohl and he re-released the two albums under his own label Fearsection.

Live, the texts were combined with visual effects such as fire, blood and SM references.
