Christian "Chris" Pohl (born February 9, 1972 in Berlin-Kreuzberg ) is a German musician .

history

In 1994 Pohl recorded five tapes under the name Terminal Choice and created the band logo. Side-Line passed its tapes on to the Finnish label Cyberware , who signed the project. In 1995 the first maxi CD came on the market. Since Pohl got his inspiration from different directions, it happened that he also found pleasure in BDSM . This, he found, did not really fit in with Terminal Choice, so he launched the new Soul Sick project . However, he had to dissolve this in 1997 due to legal disputes with the Maschinenwelt label , so Pohl founded the Blutengel project in 1998 and released the first album Child of Glass in the same year .

In 2001 he founded the Pain of Progress project and his own label Fearsection . However, Pain of Progress was put on hold after the first CD release in mid-2002 and Pohl turned his attention back to his main projects Terminal Choice and Blutengel as well as to work with bands under his contract such as TrümmerWelten , Cinderella Effect, Silent Assault and Dust child .

Since 2008 he has also been working on his new Miss Construction project , which replaces the Tumor project.

In 2019 he founded his solo project She Hates Emotions . With this he released the album Melancholic Maniac on May 15, 2020 , which is musically linked to the 1980s synth-pop and is deliberately kept minimalist. The album reached number 24 in the German album charts.
