Mathilde Santing
Mathilde Santing (actually Mathilde Eleveld ; born October 24, 1958 in Amstelveen ) is a Dutch singer .
Life
In 1981 she made her debut with Sonja Barend in the television program Sonja op Maandag (German: Sonja am Montag) and became known nationwide. She established herself in the Dutch music scene and year after year she released new singles and albums. In 2001 her penultimate studio album New Amsterdam was released and in 2003 the live recording of her tour Negen levens . After a break of almost three years, she released her CD Under your charms in 2006 and Half Moons Whole Truths & Heartbreaks in 2012 .
In the theater season 2006/2007 she appeared in the role of Glinda in the musical The Wiz . On July 27, 2007 she was made a Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau , the Dutch Order of Merit .
