All That She Wants is a song recorded and released in 1992 and a number one hit by the Swedish pop group Ace of Base that has sold over 3.7 million copies worldwide.
Music and lyrics
Originally the song should be called Mister Ace and contain lyrics by Linn Berggren, Ulf Ekberg and Jonas Berggren . In coproduction with Denniz PoP , who heard the demo tape for this track while on vacation, the pop elements were retained, but the chorus was replaced by the line “All That She Wants” and it became a catchy saxophone melody as well added a stronger bassline .
The final version was finally released on November 16, 1992, first in Scandinavia , a short time later in the rest of the world, and quickly became a success in dozens of countries. The fourth member of the band, Jenny Berggren, was missing during the recording of this title .
The lyrics are about a lonely woman who is regularly looking for new partners.
Charts
In early 1993, All That She Wants topped the charts in many countries, including Austria , Switzerland , Germany , Denmark , Great Britain and Australia . In the United States , France and Norway , the title made it to position two and in the group’s home country Sweden, as well as the Netherlands and New Zealand, to position three. Although the title was among the top three songs in the US Billboard Hot 100 charts for three months , it did not make it to the top there.
On July 22nd, 2014 an EP with ten new versions of the song was released.

Deniz Jaspersen, Jonathan Kluth and Tex covered All That She Wants 2013 live on TV Noir . The hook of the song Alles was she wants (2019) by Kontra K is a sample of All That She Wants . The song was also covered by the punk group Wizo . Even Camila Cabello used the vocal melody for the chorus of Liar .
