Wheel of Fortune is a pop song and the debut single by the Swedish pop band Ace of Base . It was first released in April 1992 in the Nordic countries on the Danish label Mega Records as the first single from their first album Happy Nation .

The song was first released in April 1992 in the Nordic countries by Mega Records as the first single from their first album Happy Nation . It didn't make it to the charts when it was released in 1992. The song was re-released worldwide on April 2, 1993 following the success of All That She Wants . The single hit the top 10 in Austria , Belgium , Denmark , Germany , the Netherlands , Norway , Spain and Switzerland after radio stations and clubs started playing it . She reached the top 20 in Finland , Iceland , Ireland and Great Britain . It reached number five in the Eurochart Hot 100. The song reached number one in Norway and number two in Denmark and the Netherlands.
The single reached number four in Germany and the gold record .
